The mahogany tree is native to North America and provides a beautiful canopy of small green leaves. It’s a moderate to fast grower that develops a large crown above the main trunk. They make great shade trees, and can grow between 40'-60' high, with a canopy of nearly 50'. Drought tolerant, these trees also do well in coastal areas and do best with full sun. The tree’s wood is used to make fine furniture. They can also be used as bonsai specimens.
